Advertising Hoardings – Size & Type
The 'Outdoor'
advertising market defines the size of advertising
hoardings by reference to the number of 'Sheets' used to form the
final visual display are of the advertisement. This term originates from
the historical Crown printing press which has now been superseded by
modern technology. For example, a 48 sheet originally comprised of forty
eight individual pieces but now is made up of only twelve.
Apart
from the size and the type of the advertising hoardings their installation
may also vary reflecting the location and character of the property on
which the advertising hoarding is to be located. The options are normally
wall mounted advertising hoardings, land sites with the advertising
hoarding supported by a structure of simple RSJs, monopoles or 'design'
structures. The latter provide the possibility of back-to-back advertising
hoarding panels with a minimum footprint and land utilisation.
